WEB DESK: Quetta Gladiators defeated Lahore Qalandars by two wickets in the 18th match of the Pakistan Super League.
Azhar Ali’s team Lahore’s put a target of 202 for Quetta to chase at the end of the first innings.
Ali scored 61 runs for 45 balls, and Chris Gayle and Umar Akmal scored 60 and 55 runs.
If the target seemed impossible to chase, the Gladiators chased it gallantly. Bismillah Khan, who scored 55 from 30 deliveries helped the team and won the man of the match.
Kevin Pietersen and Kumar Sangakkara scored 34 and 37 respectively, whereas Mohammad Nabi finished the game for Quetta with 30 from just 12 deliveries.
Ehsan Adil claimed four wickets for Lahore, with Bravo getting three wickets and Cooper getting one wicket.
Man of the match award went to Bismillah Khan for his debut batting performance. He had previously played for WAPDA.
