WEB DESK: Pakistan captain Shahid Khan Afridi apologized to the nation through a one-minute video hours before the investigation committee to present its report on teams performance.
“I don’t care what allegations will be leveled against me in the report but I care about the public sentiment, because I play cricket for my nation,” he said in his message.
This was the second apology after team’s coach Waqar Younis showed remorse over the team’s poor performance.
He added that to improve cricket in the country,it will require the board to address root causes. “No cosmetic surgery will make things better, to improve cricket we need to look deeply into problems,” Younis said.
