WEB DESK: With the revival of the Pakistani cinema and the movies of much more class now, Lollywood is on a roll to deliver the best. Movies like Bol, Khuda K Liye, Waar and many more. Another one of the classics is Mah-e-Meer which just announced its release date.
With Fahad Mustafa, Imaan Ali, Sanam Saeed, Aly Khan and Manzar Sehbai, the movie revolves around the life implications of the famous Urdu poet, Meer Taqi Meer. The movie is about how a young struggling poet’s life is reflected with the problems that he faces and how is that close to the famous poet’s life. Another one of the Pakistani blockbuster that reigned the national and international film industry, Manto, was also based on one the most bold writers of Urdu, Sadat Hasan Manto. Now, Mah-e-Meer is about the life of the famous poet Mir Taqi Mir. We hope that this movie also makes us proud internationally!
The trailer of the movie was released last year, with the first shot of Iman Ali with her hair drowning in water filled with rose petals. Ali plays a role of Kaneez and love interest of Fahad Mustufa’s character.
Seen in the trailer of the movie, the duo seems to have sizzling chemistry on screen. While talking about the movie, Fahad Mustufa says, “The movie will be a proof of good cinematic experience of the film industry.” The lead actor also says that the movie also stars Iman Ali, Snam Saeed, Aly Khan and Manzar Sehbai as the cast.
As far as the chemistry between the couple is questioned, Fahad Mustafa and Iman Ali seems to slay their characters. Seen in Bol, Iman Ali played a similar character and was the first choice to play the role of Mehtab.
In an earlier interview, director Anjum Shehzad had praised the performance of the entire cast terming Iman Ali’s performance in the film as one to watch out for. “She has delivered a memorable performance. This will be a landmark film in her career, a movie which shall be appreciated by cinemagoers,” he said.
The movie is very much looked forward to and is scheduled to release on May 6th. Here is the trailer of the movie.
