ISLAMABAD: NEPRA has approved the reduction of electricity tariff by 4.11 rupees per unit on Tuesday, Aaj News reported. K-Electric users will not able to enjoy the cut in prices.
National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved the demand because of monthly fuel adjustment in January. The application for the request was submitted by Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA).
The fall in prices came as the average production price dropped down to 6.48 rupees per unit whereas the prescribed reference fuel cost was 9.86 rupees per unit. This will be applicable to all distributors except K-Electric.
