KARACHI: Karachi Administration Thursday announced to fix retail milk price at Rs 80 per liter and decided to implement it effectively.
This was announced by Commissioner Karachi Syed Asif Haider Shah in presence of representatives of Dairy Farmers Association, Milk Wholesalers Association and Milk Retailers’ Association and mediamen, said a statement.
He said that the milk price will also be implemented at the levels of dairy farmers and wholesalers.
The City Administration has announced that no one would be allowed to sale milk in violation to the notified prices.
The milk price at farmer level is Rs 70 per liter, at wholesale level at Rs 75.35 per liter, while retail price at Rs 80 per liter. The Commissioner Karachi Office has also issued notification in this regard.
The representatives of milk wholesalers, dairy farmers and retailers associations have also assured to cooperate with the administration in this regard.
Among other Additional Commissioner, Aslam Khoso and deputy commissioners concerned were also present.
