KARACHI: Chairman, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has expressed deep grief and sorrow over tragic losses of lives and properties in torrential rains followed by heavy floods and land sliding in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Gilgit and parts of Azad Kashmir.
In a statement on Wednesday, he asked the authorities to expedite the rescue and relief operations.
Bilawal said the government and local authorities should activate their rescue facilities and save those still lying under the landslides and marooned in the midst of flooded areas.
He urged his party leaders and workers of the affected areas to personally participate in the rescue and relief operations and extend all out help to the victims of natural calamity.
He also asked the governments to chalk-out adequate compensation and rehabilitation plan for the victims in the affected areas.
