WEB DESK: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should present himself before the Parliament and “follow his own advice and resign.”
While tweeting, the PPP Chairman said, “the Prime Minster (PM) is yet to present himself before Parliament & explain himself. He should follow his own advice & resign.” The tweet came during the Prime Minister’s address to the nation on Friday.
Earlier, PPP Information Secretary Qamar Zaman Kaira told a news conference that the opposition would not accept the terms of reference (ToRs) of the Commission if it did not take the parliament into confidence. “The government has to sit with the opposition for preparation of ToRs for the Judicial Commission,” he said. He said that the Prime Minister has to present himself for accountability.
The PPP leader said that there was no need to announce the formation of a judicial Commission through an address to the nation. “This could have been done simply by issuing a press release from the Secretariat of the Prime Minister’s House, he said.
