ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday released details of assets owned by members of parliament, Aaj News reported.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif owns Rs1.96 billion and has no property abroad. Nawaz received agricultural land worth Rs1.07bn in gifts and inheritance. His son Hussain Nawaz sent Rs215.6 million from abroad.
Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan owns Rs 1.31 bn. Cost of his Bani Gala house has been estimated to be Rs750mn. Chairman PTI owns 2 cows and 1 buffalo worth Rs 3 lac. Reham Khan has Rs 52 lac in her account.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman owns assets worth Rs6.8 million only and has no personal car. Jamshed Dasti has total assets of Rs 2,653 and has been declared as the poorest parliamentarian. Document of National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq’s assets is missing from file.
Hamza Shahbaz owns Rs 340mn in Pakistan. Opposition Leader Khurshid Shah has Rs 48.6mn’s assets.
