LAHORE: Ameer Jamat-e-Islami Siraj ul Haq presented himself for accountability on Sunday in Panama Leaks controversy and corruption allegations against PM Nawaz Sharif’s family.
Addressing a sit-in at Mall Road in Lahore he said, “I present myself and my team for accountability as I begin the fight against corruption from my own self.”
The JI chief at the sit-in against corruption also announced to hold protests across country against corruption from May 1.
He said the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) had failed to work in people’s interest.
The leader of the religious party also said the rulers earned their money from Pakistan and invested it in foreign countries.
