Terming any party flag as ‘bone of contention,’ the Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP)’s founder and MQM dissident Syed Mustafa Kamal has urged the people to unite under the flag of Pakistan to end politics of hatred from the country for good.
He made this appeal speaking to his party’s supporters during his visit to the Lyari on Sunday where he clarified that the PSP had no party flag at all; neither would it have. To him, the party flag was root cause behind rifts and hatred among the people.
“True Pakistanis should leave the flags that are based on the political, ethnic, and sectarian grounds. It’s high time for all to wave the country’s flag on their rooftop, offices, homes and streets to demonstrate patriotism and true love with the country,” he said asking the party workers and supporters to love their enemies for the sake of Pakistan.
Accompanied by Anees Qaim Khani and other comrades, Mustafa Kamal has made visits to various parts of the City to mobilise people for their huge participation in the PSP’s first public meeting scheduled to be held at Bagh-e-Jinnah near mausoleum of founder of Pakistan Mohammad Ali Jinnah on April 24.
“April 24 will be the day of solemn pledge for people. Their pledge will be for collective efforts to end the politics of bloodshed from the city and the country,” he said requesting people to attend mammoth public gathering on April 24 largely.
He said that socio-economic development could not be thought of as long as mindset of political vendetta prevailed among the political workers. He said that development needed environment of peace and tranquility.
“Lack of health and educational facilities, unemployment, poor sewerage lines, broken roads, unhygienic water et cetera are the core issues of this city. But unfortunately, attention of people is diverted from these issues creating rifts among them on political, sectarian, ethnic and party lines,” he lamented.
Mustafa Kamal said that youth played significant role in the development of the nation but unfortunately our youth were forced to become target killers and RAW’s agents.
“We are going to form a better society for our new generation. Our youth are not going to become target killers and agent of enemies any more. Now onward, bloodshed on the basis of party, sect, cast, and color should be stopped forever. Peace has to be prevailed in each street. There must be no no-go area,” he vowed.
