KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement Leader Farooq Sattar on Tuesday said that the party’s voters are being threatened to stay at homes on the day of elections, Aaj News reported.
According to details, workers of MQM and Muhajir Quami Movement (Haqiqi) confronted each other while MQM’s election rally was passing by Lines Area in Karachi. They not only chanted slogans against each other but also beat each other with sticks and stones. As a result, quite a number of MQM workers were injured.
In the light of the incident, Farooq Sattar said that the party workers are being threatened to not leave their houses on the day of the elections.
Sattar added that they should be allowed to run the election campaign peacefully.
