KARACHI: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Deputy Director Ausaf Ali Talpur has been suspended under allegations of breaching code of conduct by assaulting the security guard of veteran actress Shagufta Ejaz’s Envy Salon in Gulistan-i-Jauhar, Aaj News reported.
Yesterday, Shahra-e-Faisal police have registered a case against Talpur, his wife and unidentified persons for attacking the parlor.
A gold chain misplacement incident turned ugly when Talpur’s wife accused Parlor staff of theft. In the wake of this claim, unidentified persons assaulted security guard of the parlor and the assaulters barged into the parlor to escalate the matter.
According to the report, Police station refused to register Ejaz’s complain but later filed the complaint as the story started to make rounds in media.
While talking to Aaj News, Shugufta Ejaz said that there were three armed men along with Talpur and ‘inspector’ Zain-ul-abideen who allegedly harassed the staff.
Upon the allegations made by Talpur’s wife, Ejaz said that in police station the lady herself said that ‘issue isn’t about the chain’. She elaborated that there are ‘obvious’ boards in my parlor which says that ‘we will not be responsible of any loss’
Ejaz is confident that police will investigate this matter and arrest the culprits.
