TOBA TEK SINGH: Law enforcers and intelligence agencies conducted a search operation in Toba Tek Singh and arrested 44 suspects on Friday, Aaj News reported.
According to details, after the deadly blast in Lahore’s Gulshan-e- Iqbal Park, targeted operation is underway through out Punjab.
Police and intelligence agencies conducted a raid late Thursday night in Pathan Basti area and took 44 suspects into custody.
According to Police sources, weapons have also been recovered from the custody of the arrested.
The suspects have been shifted to a place unknown for investigation.
A suicide blast ripped off in the parking lot of Iqbal Park in Lahore on Sunday (March 27) that killed 74 and wounded around 300.
Jamaat-e-Ahrar, a splinter faction of the Pakistani Taliban, claimed responsibility for the blast. Its spokesman, Ehsanullah Ehsan, said in a statement that Christians who were celebrating Easter that day were the target.
