LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan on Thursday demanded a ban on politicians involved in using prohibited drugs.
Talking to the media outside the Punjab Assembly here, he said after Panama leaks, the drug leaks were also coming.
He said: “It is our demand that politics should not only be free from persons involved in corruption or illegal practices but also from those who are involved in using prohibited drugs”.
“Under the influence of drugs, such politicians make wrong decisions which can cause any misadventure in the country and politics”, he added.
Sana demanded that blood samples of all politicians should be collected and analyzed. “If high ratio of alcohol or cocaine detected in blood, then legislation should be carried out against such politicians”, he added.
He said a joint operation was in progress in Kacha area of Rajan Pur and two gangsters of Chhotu gang were killed in the operation. He added the Punjab government would get the area cleared at all costs.
Rana criticised Imran Khan’s decision to protest at Raiwand and suggested that he should choose some other place for the purpose.
He also criticised Aitzaz Ahsan and asked him to exercise wisdom.
