LAHORE: Pakistan left arm pacer Muhammad Amir is likely to get his visa England tour next week, Aaj News reported on Wednesday.
According to PCB sources, visa will be issued to Amir in the coming week. The sources claimed that Amir had no legit issue for the issuance of visa as he was not deported from England like Salman Butt after completing his sentence in 2012.
Sources further said that as per British law a person who has been deported after serving more than a year in prison is not allowed to enter the country for next 10 years.
Sources also added that English officials had not shown any concerns when New Zealand immigration officials informed them of giving visa to Amir for a tour in January.
Pakistan will play 5 ODI’s, 4 Test and one T20 on its tour to England. The tour will start following July of this year.
