WEB DESK: Aditya Chopra is all set to give his ‘Dhoom’ franchise a new look. In an unbelievable turn of events, it will be Salman Khan pitting his wits against YRF’s blue-eyed boy Ranveer Singh in ‘Dhoom Reloaded’.
Yes, the Khan will be depicting the role of the antagonist in the popular franchise that earlier had John Abraham (‘Dhoom’), Hrithik Roshan (‘Dhoom 2’) and Aamir Khan (‘Dhoom 3’).
Salman Khan, who has till this date never played a character with shades of grey, is depicting the role of a villain in India’s answer to ‘Fast & Furious’ film. Seems like this time around Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will no longer be a part of the franchise.
Sources say, “Aditya Chopra wants ‘Dhoom Reloaded’ to be a film for the youth. Who better to play the dashing hero than Ranveer Singh, YRF’s current blue-eyed boy?
Talks are on for Salman Khan to play the negative role so if both get finalised, it will be Salman and Ranveer for India’s most successful franchise.”
Sources added, “Vijay Krishna Acharya is expected to direct the fourth ‘Dhoom’ sequel too (he had directed ‘Dhoom:3’).
A teaser poster was released in December last year. Amitabh Bachchan is also said to be part of ‘Dhoom Reloaded’, but the female lead hasn’t been decided as yet.”
‘Dhoom Reloaded’ will begin shooting in early 2017 and will be shot across exotic foreign locales different from ‘Dhoom 3’.
Ranveer Singh at present is busy shooting for ‘Befikre’ while Salman is wrapping up his film ‘Sultan’. But if the two do come together, the outcome will be truly explosive.
