Various world leaders have wished Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif speedy recovery from his open heart surgery scheduled in London today.
According to a Foreign Office statement, President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has conveyed to the Prime Minister heartfelt sympathy as well as wishes for speedy recovery.
In his message to the Prime Minister, the statement added that the President has been joined by other leaders of the Russian Federation.
In a separate message, President of Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon stated “I was disturbed to hear of your illness and heart surgery which you have to undergo. I pray, my dear brother, for your earliest and lasting recovery”.
He also expressed the hope that with renewed health and vigor the Prime Minister can soon resume his great duties of government for further development and prosperity of friendly country of Pakistan.
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani also joined the world leaders to wish the Prime Minister his early recovery and a good health. In his message, Ghani said: “I would like to send my best wishes to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family.
Hope the surgery goes all right. We pray for his speedy recuperation.” British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond also conveyed his message for the Prime Minister’s complete and speedy recovery from his heart surgery.
Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai, in a separate message to the Prime Minister, wished him speedy recovery from his open heart surgery. -Business Recorder
