The government allies met the Prime Minister on Friday and discussed with him the current political situation in the country.
Mahmood Khan Achakzai of Pakhtunkhawa Milli Awami Party, Maulana Fazlur Rehman of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) and Aftab Khan Sherpao of Qaumi Watan Party separately called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and discussed political matters as well as overall national affairs.
Although the official statement said nothing about brewing political situation in the country, analysts say the meetings of parliamentary party followed by the meeting with allies appear to be a clear signal and are being viewed very meaningful given the PAT protest today on Saturday and PTI tomorrow Sunday on the Model Town tragedy and the Panama leaks, respectively.
Talking to Achakzai, he said people of Balochistan will reap the benefits of the ongoing mega projects in the province. Our collective efforts have resulted into a stable and peaceful Balochistan, said the Prime Minister.
During a meeting with Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, the Prime Minister discussed with him the ongoing development projects of the federal government in the province of KP.
Political parties and leadership of the country need to collectively contribute towards the development and progress of Pakistan, said the prime minister.
Mir Hasil Khan Bazinjo, President of the National Party of Pakistan, Minister for Ports and Shipping also met with Prime Minister.
Hasil Bazinjo apprised the Prime Minister regarding various matters related to the Ministry of Ports and Shipping. The Minister also discussed various issues pertaining to the province of Balochistan.
Overall matters of national significance also came under discussion during the meeting. “Being a political party and representative of the people of our province, we are totally supportive of a democratically-elected federal government,” Bizenjo said during the meeting.
The Prime Minister said his government firmly believes in the politics of national development and progress. “We are focused and determined to implement our developmental programme across the country.
The people of Pakistan have witnessed a positive change in all sectors of national economy, and in the overall security situation of the country.
The people’s trust in our policies is our strength, which enables us to perform and deliver,” the Prime Minister said. -Business Recorder
