Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has said that any industrialists establishing industrial unit in the province will be given 5 percent exemption in mark-up and 25 percent discount in the transportation of machinery.
Addressing a public meeting in Bafa, District Mansehra, he said that unemployed youth in the province will be imparted skills as per industry’s requirement, saying millions of unemployed youth will get employed this year.
Those present on the occasion were MPAs Zarin Gul, Nirgis, members district and tehsil councils and other political and social figures.
The chief minister also announced to give tehsil status to Bafa-Pakal of district Mansehra and a comprehensive development package for the district.
Under the development package, a fund of Rs 50 million has been allocated for the construction of bypass road on which work will start soon after the completion of feasibility study while another amount of Rs 50 million had already been approved for the second bypass.
Similarly, a fund of Rs 80 million has been allocated for the construction of road from College Dorah to Bafa, Nakor Bridge (Rs 120 million).
Construction of earthquake affected civil hospital Balakot (Rs 570 million) and a hefty amount of Rs 4 billion for the provision of clean drinking water.
Khattak said that the present government was taking all out measures for the welfare of the poor and a handsome amount of Rs 4 billion have been allocated for bringing improvement in public sector hospitals.
He said that till December this year all public sector hospitals will be equipped with medical facilities and staff. He said that during the period of previous governments wood worth Rs 200 billion was cut in the name of windfall, while the PTI government banned it completely.
Khattak said that PTI government inherited the province in dilapidated condition where corruption, loot & plunder was rampant while all institutions were on the verge of collapse. -Business Recorder
