KARACHI: The chief of Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP), Mustafa Kamal, has called for stern action against those who resorted to violence and attack on Media Houses in Karachi on Monday following the speech of leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Altaf Hussain.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, he maintained that there are some who were trying to save their skin in the aftermath of the public’s backlash and strong resentment all over the country against Altaf Hussain’s proactive speech.
Kamal also called for stern action against those responsible for violence and attack on media houses and stressed that such miscreants should be brought to justice. However, no innocent should be implicated.
Mustafa Kamal pointed out that the people of urban area of Sindh gave 85 percent mandate to the MQM but the situation in their respective areas deteriorated gradually.
Commenting on the press conference by the MQM leader, Dr. Farooq Sattar, on Tuesday, Mustafa Kamal was of the view that he fails to understand as to what Dr. Farooq Sattar was trying to convey.
He maintained that those who were demanding proofs for MQM’s alleged links with RAW, have themselves gave an indication about this.
Mustafa Kamal strongly condemned the Monday’s objectionable address of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain and the subsequent violence in which some media houses were also targeted. –APP
