The Pakistan ambassador in Afghanistan on Wednesday visited to Torkham, the Pak-Afghan sharing border and examined border mechanism system.
Ambassador Ibrar Hussain was received by the Assistant Political Agent (APA) Landikotal, Rahim Mehsud and the forces representatives on his arrival at Torkham border.
The Pak envoy flanked by councillor general Mohammad Farmanullah inspected Shaheed Mor, Michni checkpoints and observed clearing process of the incoming and outgoing Afghan citizens and other passengers.
He was briefed by the local administration officials regarding the checking system being adopted on the check posts. After a brief stay he returned to Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, the newly constructed Torkham gate was opened for all kind of traffic on Wednesday morning, security forces sources said. -Business Recorder
