In Occupied Kashmir, hundreds of people were injured, today, when Indian troops used brute force to prevent them from holding demonstrations and marches towards Tehsil headquarters against civilian killings in the Kashmir Valley.
Call for this protest was jointly given by the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, and Hurriyet leaders, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.
The puppet authorities continued to impose strict curfew and other restrictions across the Kashmir Valley on the 56th consecutive day on Friday.
Defying curfew and other restrictions, people in large numbers took to the streets in Srinagar, Badgam, Ganderbal, Bandipora, Kupwara, Islamabad, Baramulla, Pulwama, Shopian, Kulgam and other areas and held massive demonstrations against the killings. They shouted pro-freedom, pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans.
Meanwhile, the death toll in the ongoing Kashmir Intifada has risen to 88 with the killing of a 12-year-old boy by Indian troops.
