ISLAMABAD: The anniversary of devastating earthquake that hit Pakistan and AJK 11 years ago is being celebrated today on Saturday, Aaj News reported.
According to the reports, Pakistan and AJK witnessed a devastating earthquake 11 years ago but reconstruction of numerous development projects in AJK is still incomplete.

Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan laid floral wreath at the memorial of the martyrs in university ground reportedly.
A disastrous earthquake hit KPK and AJK on 8th October 2005. On anniversary of earthquake martyrs, public holiday is announced today in AJK. The day dawned with special prayers and one minute silence was also observed at 8:52 reportedly.
It is pertinent to mention that even after eleven years thousands of projects are incomplete due to lack of funding or other reasons reportedly.
