Pakistan’s golden boy Babar Azam is currently enjoying a dream entry into the international, after his record shattering performance in the One-Day Internationals (ODI), the batsman is likely to get inducted in the Test squad.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Selector Inzimam-ul- Haq is set to announce the country’s test squad today (Saturday). As per local media reports, Babar is very much in limelight after his prolific performance in the ODI series against West Indies.
The 21-years old enjoys a healthy average of 52.11, accumulating 886 runs in just 18 ODIs whereas, Pakistan number three batsman Younis Khan, is currently out of the first test match as he is recovering from dengue fever.
However, the other major concern would be the selection of Openers, as players like Muhammad Hafeez, Ahmad Shahzad and Shan Masood look to grab the top slot.
Both Shahzad and Masood have scored fifties in the warm-up match between Pakistan Cricket Board Patron’s XI and West Indians in Sharjah
The first pink ball day-night test match between Pakistan and West Indies is scheduled to begin from October 13 at Dubai. Pakistan has already won the T20 and ODI series.
