Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan on Friday announced to march on Islamabad after Muharram if Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif did not present himself for accountability.
While addressing a big public gathering at Ada Plot Raiwind, Imran Khan said that they would close Islamabad after Muharram and will not allow Nawaz Sharif to run the government anymore.
He also said that due to the ongoing tension between Pakistan and India and Muharram he was not announcing sit-in at Raiwind, but after Muharram he would announce the date for Islamabad March.
He said that Panama Leaks were not mere allegations but concrete proofs. He alleged that Nawaz Sharif had spent Rs 600 million on building a security wall around Raiwind palace from the national exchequer.
He further alleged that during the past eight years they had spent Rs 18 billion on the security of Raiwind palace. “If you want to live a lavish life, live it from your own money,” Imran asked Nawaz Shaif.
He asserted that Nawaz Sharif had committed four crimes; concealment of assets, corruption, tax evasion and money laundering.
“If Nawaz Sharif managed to escape the Panama Leaks probe this time, he would ruin the remaining institutions of the country,” the PTI chairman remarked.
Imran said, “PTI is seeking answers from Prime Minister Nawaz over his corruption and Panama Leaks for the last five months.”
He accused Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) chairman of sending millions of rupees to Dubai illegally. “We are not pressurizing Nawaz Sharif, we are pressurizing state institutions to hold Nawaz accountable,” said Imran Khan.
He demanded of the chairman FBR to take notice of the people whose names featured in Panama Leaks if he had some dignity. PTI Chairman said that corruption had destroyed all institutions of the country.
He alleged that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was trying to protect Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family from accountability.
He said that instead of protecting Nawaz, the NAB should enquire from him that how he and his family managed amass assets worth billions of rupees.
He requested the Supreme Court to take action against those who were involved in corruption. While criticising Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi Khan said that Pakistani nation was united against Indian aggression.
He condemned Indian atrocities in Kashmir. Imran Khan said that he was the biggest promoter of peace and wanted good relations with India.
Khan said that when he met Moodi he told him that both countries should work together to bring peace and prosperity to the region. He added that both the countries should enhance trade ties.
But Modi in a bid to please his right wing vote bank always held Pakistan responsible for every terrorist activity, he deplored.
President Awami Muslim League Sheikh Rashid said that Nawaz Sharif and Modi represented the same mentality. He claimed that he was a genuine Kashmiri and Nawaz Shaif was fake.
