ISLAMABAD: Mushaal Hussein Malik Monday called on Senator A. Rehman Malik Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Interior and Narcotics Control at his residence in Islamabad.
Mushaal Hussain Malik was accompanied by her three years daughter Raziya Sultana and her mother, a press release issued here said.
The gross human rights violations taking place in Indian held Kashmir and about the arrest of Mohammad Yasin Malik by Indian Forces were came under discussion during the meeting.
“Mohammad Yasin Malik and his family are fighting peacefully for their very basic right of “self-determination” as per the United Nations Security Council Resolution rather committing any crime yet he is kept in illegal custody”, said Senator A. Rehman Malik.
Addressing a joint press conference, they strongly condemned the Indian forces for their brutalities against innocent Kashmiris and urged the United Nation to stop India from further brutalities in Kashmir.
The family of Mohammad Yasin Malik is suffering since last two years as he is in the unlawful detention of Indian forces and his family is denied the right to meet him in jail, said Senator Rehman Malik.
He said that he is amazed that how the United Nations is tight-lipped on the killing of innocent Kashmiris and violations of human rights violations in Indian held Kashmir.
Expressing disappointment on the silence of international community, human rights organizations and United Nations, Senator Rehman Malik asked that why they all were silent spectators of the terrible brutalities taking place in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
He had already written to the General Secretary UNO and UN Human Rights Commissioner diverting their attentions towards the brutalities by Indian Forces in Kashmir and today he is sending another letter in the name of UN Human Rights Commissioner on the arrest of Mohammad Yasin Malik, Senator A. Rehman Malik said.
Mushaal Hussain Malik thanked Senator A. Rehman Malik for his and his party support and applauded him for his bold and brave stance on the issue of Kashmir and said that she has found him always speaking for the rights of Kashmiri people.
Senator A. Rehman Malik signed the letter he wrote to UN Human Rights Commissioner urging him to constitute a high power team to visit Yasin Malik in Indian Forces custody, inquire about his health and make all the necessary arrangements for shifting him to a country where he could be medically treated properly.
He said every Pakistani and especially the workers of PPP stand by the people of Kashmir in their fight against Indian brutalities and illegal confinement of their soil.
Rehman Malik said that Narendra Modi is man of criminal nature and hatemonger who has banned even the use of word “human rights” in his country but I appeal to the International Human Rights organizations to move against Narendra Modi to stop brutalities in Kashmir. -APP
