ISLAMABAD: A sessions court on Friday issued a notice to Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif over defamation case filed against him by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Jahangir Tareen, Aaj News reported.
Islamabad District and Sessions Judge Kamran Basharat Mufti heard the case pf Rs. 30 billion defamation against CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif earlier today.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General and Lodhran MNA Jahangir Khan Tareen filed a defamation suit of Rs30 billion on Thursday against Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Tareen accused the latter of making “false allegations” over the plaintiff’s loans.
However, the PTI leader refuted Shahbaz’s claim that Tareen had loans written off from banks and usurped public funds.
The court has been issued a notice for November 12 to Shahbaz Sharif.
