ISLAMABAD: The All Parties Hurriyet Conference leader, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, in occupied Kashmir, remembered the martyrs of Jammu and all the martyrs of Kashmir who laid down their lives for the cause of freedom from Indian bondage.
According to KMS, During the first week of November in 1947, hundreds of thousands of Kashmiris were killed by the forces of Maharaja Hari Singh, Indian army and Hindu extremists in different parts of Jammu region while they were migrating to Pakistan.
Nayeem Ahmad Khan in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the fascist forces started a killing spree in 1947 which was still going on.
“However, these forces have not succeeded in killing the freedom sentiment of the Kashmiri people,” he said.
Nayeem Khan strongly condemned the highhandedness of Indian forces in every nook and corner of the occupied territory particularly in Ruhmoo, Pulwama, where over 30 persons were injured due to the firing of pellets by the men in uniform.
Yasmeen Raja in her statement in Srinagar paid glowing tributes to the Jammu martyrs, killed by the forces of Maharaja Hari Singh during the first week of November in 1947.
She said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would not go waste.
She said that the people of Kashmir had not accepted the Indian occupation over Kashmir and were struggling for their birthright to self-determination for last several decades.
She said that the ongoing liberation movement would be taken to its logical conclusion at all costs.-APP
