HYDERABAD: The Anti-terrorism Court here on Saturday remanded 14 persons, who allegedly belong to Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London faction, to the jail custody for 14 days.
According to the details, the Fort police which booked 20 suspects with names besides 150 unknown under sections 6/7 of Anti Terrorism Act and sections 147, 148, 149, 153, 324 and 353 of PPC, produced the arrested 14 suspects in the court for the remand.
The FIR, lodged on the complaint of SHO Fort police station Sikandar Ghulam Mustafa, accused the nominated persons of clashing with the police in the Pakka Qila during yom-i-Shuhda commemoration on December 9.
Syed Shahmir Warsi, Zubair Khan, Moinuddin, Amanullah, Sajid Ahmed, Nisar Murad, Kamran Khan, Sajid Mula, Maqsood Kabari, Imran Adde Wala, Kashif Qureshi, Anees, Faheem alias Lamba, Qasim, Zahid, Khalid alias Makhan, Shahid Allaudin, Waqar, Farasat Hussain Ansari and Faizan were nominated with names in the FIR.
A spokesman of the MQM-London confirmed that Syed Shahmir Warsi, Sajid Ahmed, Moinuddin, Farasat Hussain Ansari, Kashif Qureshi, Nisar Murad amd Faizan were arrested on Friday night.—APP
