ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President Mamnoon Hussain in Islamabad on Monday and discussed matters pertaining to national security.
The President and PM in their meetings felicitated Q Javed Bajwa on assuming the command of Pakistan Army.
According to a press release issued by the President House, the President felicitated General Bajwa on assuming his position as Army Chief and expressed confidence that his professional capabilities would strengthen the national defence.
President Mamnoon directed to continue the implementation of National Action Plan and Operation Zarb-e-Azb to ensure complete peace in the country.
Mamnoon Hussain said that implementation on National Action Plan should be continued for peace and security in the country.
He said the operation Zarb-e-Azb should continue till realization of all objectives.
The Army Chief said the armed forces will live up to the expectations of the people for defense of the country.
