KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) Friday granted extension in the interim bail of the former provincial minister Sharjeel Inam Memon.
A two-judge bench presided over by Mr. Justice Syed Muhammad Farooq Shah heard the cases against Sharjeel Inam Memon.
The counsel of the petitioner informed the court that his client wanted to appear before the court and face the allegations but he was apprehensive of his arrest by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
The NAB prosecutor, on the occasion, argued the court that one reference against Sharjeel was registered and on two more references the bureau was enquiring and he opposed the extension in the interim bail of Sharjeel.
Upon further unsatisfactory replies by the prosecutor of the Bureau the court granted extension in the interim bail of the former minister.—APP
