WEB DESK: The courageous Pakistani women are all set to defuse bombs as eleven women police commandos including three sisters have joined bomb disposal unit after completion of their training.
As reported, these women joined the squad in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province that experiences terror attacks frequently.
According to News International, around 24 commandos including these 11 females underwent for training in Police School of Explosive Handling of Nowshera,
The Director of School, Niaz Muhammad Yousafzai said 1,607 cops including 11 women had been received training up till now.
Rafia Qaseem Baig, 29, became the first ever Pakistani female who joined bomb disposal unit after completing her 15 days training along with 31 male members in December 2016, reportedly.
The three sisters, Parveen Gul, Rukhsana and Samina are among 11 other female candidates who got their training completed on Tuesday. While speaking to media after passing out, these sister said,”We have also trained in light and heavy weaponry besides bomb disposing”.
These ladies are from Karak District and belongs to a very poor family. They further said,”Our father, Noor Shah, is not stable physically since his birth but he had managed to educate us well despite his poor conditions”.
“Seeing police cops in mobile vans in my village was very inspiring and I did not know that I will be a part of it”, said one of the three sisters, Pari Gul.
She further added that Samina, their younger sister, was lucky enough to get chance at first attempt while she and Rukhsana were selected Hangu, later.
Moreover, the Inspector General of Police, Nasir Khan Durrani ordered to train these lady commandos, Chief Instructor Shafiq Khattak said.
However, the females commandos who have completed their training are from Hangu, Nowshera, Abbottabad, Charsadda, Mardan, Buner and Bannu.
Lastly, more than 600 women are serving in different department of Police in Kpk on different positions from junior clerks to deputy superintendent.
