ISLAMABAD: The Ministry Railways is planning to conduct a comprehensive survey to improve education standard of the Railway Schools.
In this regard, Minister for Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique had directed the authorities concerned to start the survey as soon as possible to improve education on war footing, an official told APP on Monday.
Pakistan Railways wants to provide cheap, concessional and standard education to the children of the railway employees through its schools, he added.
He said that Pakistan Railways will consider the non governmental organization which are working in the filed of education.
Pakistan Railways will also include the subject of Railway engineering in the syllabus of technical colleges and engineering universities.
The Ministry of Railways had already formed a four-member committee headed by Railways Chief Executive Officer Javaid Anwar to take all universities on board in this regard.
The committee had directed to maintain contacts with the institutions for issuance of diploma and degrees in the railway engineering, he added. -APP
