KARACHI: The investigation committee which was made to probe dawn leaks scandal reported that Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi, former Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed and Principal Information Officer Rao Tehseen are also responsible, Aaj News reported.
The head of the commission Justice (r) Aamir Razahe made an inquiry report, which holds the three persons responsible for the Newsgate scandal.
The report has also suggested action against the three for the Dawn leaks conundrum. Earlier, a detailed investigation was conducted into the matter and then the reported has been presented.
Mobile data from Tariq Fatemi, Pervaiz Rasheed and Rao Tehseen’s phones were also obtained to aid in the investigation, the committee claimed.
The daily, Dawn had published a story on October 6, in which journalist Cyril Almeida had written about an alleged civil-military rift during the National Security Committee (NSC) meeting over the issue of tackling jihadi outfits.
