WEB DESK: After setting an alarm, all a person desires to get plenty of sleep to be super fresh and relax for the next day. But have you ever thought that the dreams during that peaceful sleep actually links to your health. And, in most cases nightmares indicates alarming health condition.
Many researches have been done over the years. Moreover, a report published in scientific reports, claims that, “Frequent nightmares have been linked to other sleep problems, especially insomnia, and mental health problems, especially symptoms of depression, as well as to lowered quality of life in general.”
The author of the study adds,”People who experience frequent nightmares may also be susceptible to mood disorders and they have slightly higher risk for committing suicide than people without nightmare problem(s).”
It has been observed from the studies that nightmares are actually interlinked with health issues. Specifically mental health, a research, conducted back in 2014 here explains that children who suffer from nightmares frequently may face serious mental issues later in life.
The researches also claimed that adults who have these frequent nightmares might suffer with heart disease which results in irregular heartbeats and chest pain.
