ISLAMABAD: Several students,in Indian occupied Kashmir, were injured when Indian police used brute force on protesting students in Srinagar, today.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the students of SP Higher Secondary School assembled at the school premises and tried to march towards Maulana Azad road to register their protest against the brutalities of Indian forces on the student community in the occupied territory.
They raised high-pitched anti-India and pro-freedom slogans.
The police resorted to teargas shelling to disperse the protesters, triggering clashes between the students and the police personnel. Many students were injured in the police action.
A photographer, Basit Zargar, working for local news organisations also sustained injuries in the police action.—APP
