At least 35 students got injured when two students groups clashed on Saturday at Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) , said officials.
According to reports, Police tried to control the situation by resorting to teargas shelling and baton charge but failed miserably.
Later, Pakistan Rangers were called in by the university authorities to disperse the enraged students.
The injured students were rushed to Poly Clinic Hospital, however, 25 of them were discharged after the treatment, said hospital administration.
QUA administration has announced the closer of university in the coming week.
