ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s elder son Hussain Nawaz reached the Judicial Academy as the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed to probe into Panama Papers case resumed its proceedings on Friday, Aaj News reported.
Talking to media outside Judicial Academy in Islamabad on Friday, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Affairs Asif Kirmani said we have and will continue cooperating with the JIT.
He said the JIT was given powers of National Accountability Bureau through consultations with the cabinet.
Asif Kirmani said the Prime Minister`s sons could seek exemption from appearing before the JIT but they opted to present themselves for accountability.
He said we have faced accountability during General Musharraf`s regime.
Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Divisoin Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhary said PML-N is pursuing the agenda of development it had promised during the 2013 elections.
He said the parties which failed in performance started hampering the development agenda being pursued by PML-N.
