LAHORE: Former President and Pakistan People’s Party leader Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday said the US President Donald Trump should not consider Pakistan as Afghanistan and think before threatening us.
While talking to a local TV channel here today, he said Trump should not undermine sacrifices of Pakistan in the war against terrorism. “Pakistan has lost more lives than Americans in its war against terrorism.”
“Enemies have eyes on us but we don’t want war with anyone. We like to work with Americans.”
Terming Nawaz Sharif a ‘security risk’, Zardari alleged that Sharif is working on Indian premier Narendra Modi’s agenda.
He wondered why Sharif invited Modi to Pakistan and what his motives are.
While referring to the Panama case, Zardari said God punished the former prime minister.
He was of the view that Sharif is not conspiring against judiciary or army, but against the country.
Zardari ruled out cooperating with the ruling party on amending articles 62 and 63 of the constitution, saying ‘ we are not going to cooperate on this matter just to rescue one individual’.
He said the Sharif family is talking about ‘greater Punjab’ and they will conspire against Pakistan by lobbing abroad.
