KARACHI: Leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement – Pakistan (MQM-P) Farooq Sattar on Saturday assured that there is no room for militants or elements linked to terrorism in MQM-P, Aaj News reported.
Sattar while airing his grievance to the media out side an anti terrorism court (ATC) stated that there was no point of pressing charges against the leadership of MQM-P after they denounced founder Altaf Hussain. On 22 August 2017, founder of MQM Altaf Hussain delivered a seditious speech against Pakistan, initiating a nation wide series of protest.
Leader of MQM-P accused the PPP run Sindh government for asserting pressure on his detained party workers to align there self with opposite parties.
More than 800 workers are in Jail, who are being treated as hardcore terrorist, said Sattar in despair.
On a question related to the arrest of former KTC head and main suspect in Baldia Factory fire Hammad Siddiqui, Sattar said that he and his aides should be presented before the court. Siddiqui was taken in custody from UAE after Interpol issued red warrant against him earlier this year.
