ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Friday formed supreme court bench comprising of three judges to hear National Accountability Bureau (NAB) plea to declare Lahore High Court’s (LHC) judgement into Hudaibiya Paper Mills case void, Aaj News reported.
The three-judge bench headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, Justice Dost Muhammad and Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel will hear the appeal on November 13.
Earlier on November 20, NAB filed an appeal in apex court seeking to invalidate LHC three years old judgement in Hudaibiya Paper Mills case. In 2014 Ousted PM Sharif along with his several family members was acquitted by LHC from Rs1.2 billion Hudabiya Paper Mills scam.
According NAB, emergence of fresh evidence in the wake of Panama Leaks has given them ground to challenge LHC’s verdict.
