Web Desk: A mother, Lesley Speed murdered her son with a scarf and cushion over fear she would lose custody during a bitter battle with her ex-partner.
She has been found guilty of killing her seven-year-old son Archie Spriggs on September 21 last year. Archie died of asphyxia in his residence in Rushbury, Shropshire.
Jury took more than five hours to find her guilty. When verdict was delivered, Speed said, “No, no you’ve got it wrong.”
“My kids are my life, they’re my world. Nothing would make me take their life.”
She claimed that she found his son hanging from his scarf in his bedroom.
