ISLAMABAD: A federal capital based anti-terrorism court has adjourned hearing of Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Asmatullah Junejo torture case aginst Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan till 4th of next month, Aaj News reported.
Earlier, the judge had stated that verdict in the case, which was already reserved, would be announced today. However, the counsel of the PTI chief requested the court to exempt his client from presence in the court today.
ATC reserved its verdict on bail pleas after hearing arguments over the SSP torture case on April 10.
The PTI chief and apex leader of PAT, Dr Tahir Ul Qadri are accused of attacking the Parliament and PTV office during the 2014 sit-in in Islamabad, as well as torturing the then SSP and violating the loud speakers act.
