MULTAN: Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf’s Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Friday said the party’s review board constituted by Imran Khan would work independently and he was not a hurdle in awarding tickets.
Speaking at a press conference at his residence here on Friday, Qureshi said that he was ready to make any sacrifice on the tickets issue.
He disclosed that former federal minister Sikandar Bosan was aspirant for the party ticket from NA-154, adding that the party had welcomed him when he joined it in past.
Qureshi, however, explained that if Bosan wanted to leave the PTI, it would purely his own decision.
Decisions of awarding ticket for elections was not an easy job and none other than PTI chairman Imran Khan had to decide about party tickets, said Qureshi.
Shah Mehmood categorically said that he had no differences with Jehangir Tareen, adding that the latter was out of politics and he saw no reason to have differences with him.
Brushing aside allegations of awarding party tickets through nepotism, Qursehi said that he always preferred ideology over any relation for awarding tickets.—APP
