Islamabad: Supreme Court of Pakistan has declared Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader, Saira Afzal Tarar ‘eligible’ to contest election from NA-87.
Two-member bench of Supreme Court (SC), headed by Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh heard a case on Monday as per the request.
The applicant filed appeal to disqualify Saira Afzal for failing to give details of her two bank accounts in nomination papers.
Supreme Court remarked , ‘Details of both accounts have been giving in the nomination papers.’ Later on, SC rejected the application and allowed her to contest election.
Former Minister for health, Saira Afzal is a PML-N candidate and contesting election from National Assembly’s constitution NA-87 Hafizabad.
