When a Turk realizes that you’re Pakistani he gets really happy and friendly. They refer Pakistanis as ‘Kardesh’ which means brother. People of the both sides tend to favour each other more.
There are several reasons that explains why Turks like Pakistanis.
Turkey’s independence movement and war were taken as an example for Pakistan’s own independence. Quaid-e-Azam, Mohammad Ali Jinnah admired Turkey’s founding leader Mustafa Kemal Attaturk and also expressed his desire to develop Pakistan on the Turkish model of modernism.
Turks believe that if Turkey were to go to war, Pakistan would be one of the first supporters that help Turkey out in any way possible. In 2016, when Turkey was under attack, only Pakistanis changed their flags to the Turkish flag on Facebook to show their support.
During the WW1, Pakistani people (Indian Muslim then) helped Turks while other Muslim nations were among the ones tearing apart Ottoman Empire. That time Indian Muslims were very poor, but still they made sacrifices from their food and gathered their money to send to the Turkey army.
In Karabakh war, Pakistan sent supplies and volunteers to Azerbaijan to stop Armenian-Russians. Even still, Pakistan doesn’t officially accept Armenia as free country.
Many of the words of Urdu are also adopted from Turkish, even the word ‘Urdu’ is also a Turkey origin word which means Army.
Moreover, things that are shaping the relation between these two countries are their economic, strategic and defense cooperation. Both of them practice Islam, so religiously their ties are also strong. These are the reasons that make Turks to love Pakistan more than any other country.
