Web Desk: In the wake of the Tanushree Dutta-Nana Patekar controversy, actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh addressed the issue.
Tansushree Dutta started the #MeToo movement in India and which is such a relief for other actors and actress too. The entire Bollywood is supporting Tanushree and lauding her strength and sticking to her stand after a decade.
Even Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone spoke about the controversy without taking their names. Ranveer in an HT summit – media interaction condemned sexual harassment and said, “I see it beyond gender emphasizing that harassment, whether it is in the workplace or on the street, is wrong”.
Ranveer further added, “Right now something has happened, if it is happened, it takes a lot of courage to speak about it. Therefore we must listen to the person”.
Deepika Padukone said that “#MeToo movement is about the victory of right over wrong. So anyone who faces discrimination or any sort of abuse, i think we as people must support that person. It’s not about a woman or a man or female vs male; let’s not get confused in that conversation”.
