Web Desk: A 19-year-old Jenna Folwell allegedly drowned her four weeks-old baby boy in the bathtub as she did not want to hear him crying, reported NDTV.
Jenna Folwell mother of a four week old baby in Arizona also researched for “how to kill babies” on internet before the murder. Authorities says that she had read about “ how long it takes babies to drown”, reasons parents kill their babies”, “five types of parents who kill” and read about cases involving missing children, according to police report.
Authorities said the 19-year-old told them that she “settled” on drowning her 1-month-old son in a bathtub Wednesday “because she did not want to hear her son cry,” according to the report.
Later, authorities said, Folwell drove to a park in Chandler, Arizona, where she called 911 and reported that her son had been kidnapped. However, during an investigation, police discovered the baby’s lifeless body hidden in a duffel bag at Folwell’s home.
As per the report, the accused told the police that after her baby was in the bathtub for nearly a minute, she regretted her decision and retrieved him from the water. She even attempted CPR to save his life but wasn’t successful and thus decided to put him in a duffel bag, she told the cops. Following this, she went to the park and called police to report about the ‘kidnapping’.
Folwell has been charged with first-degree murder and a judge has set a $1 million cash-only bond for her release.
