Web Desk: Some of your WhatsApp messages may be an embarrassing thing for you. But luckily the giant messaging app has decided to make sure all your secrets are safe from prying eyes, reported Metro.
Reportedly, they are planning a feature that will use Apple’s TouchID and FaceID to stop people accessing user’s private messages.
The FaceID will scan iPhone owner’s features while TouchID requires a fingerprint.
It said there will soon be an option within the WhatsApp settings called TouchID. Once this is enabled, you’ll need to prove your identity by scanning your face or fingerprint to read messages.
When Touch ID (or Face ID) is enabled, WhatsApp adds a major protection level to the app: in order to use it, everytime you open WhatsApp, the authentication is required,’
It is not clear that when the feature will be publicly available for everyone.
