ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Monday adjourned the hearing of a case pertaining to the 2014 terrorist attack on the Islamabad District Courts in which many lawyers and citizens, including Judge Rafaqat Hussain were killed due to the non appearance of lawyers in the court as the legal fraternity of the Islamabad Bar Association (IBA) was on strike.
The hearing was resumed by the ATC Judge Shahrukh Arjuman.
The court had already recorded ten witnesses in the case.
The court adjourned the hearing till January 25 and summoned for prosecution witnesses in the next hearing.
The court has already released security guard Babar Hussain, who had confessed that the judge was accidentally killed by the fire of his 9mm pistol during the terrorist attack.
Five accused have been indicted in the case. —APP
